Itinerary Details

Day 01 Arrival in Delhi

Arrive in Delhi, the capital city of India. After check-in at your hotel, spend the day relaxing or exploring some of Delhi’s famous landmarks like the India Gate, Qutub Minar, and Lotus Temple. You can also visit the bustling markets of Connaught Place.

Day 02 Delhi to Katra (656 km / 14 hrs)

After an early breakfast, begin your long drive from Delhi to Katra, the base for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. The scenic drive will take approximately 14 hours. Upon arrival in Katra, check in to your hotel and rest for the night in preparation for the next day's trek.

Day 03 Katra to Vaishno Devi – Katra (14 km trek)

After breakfast, embark on the 14 km trek to the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, located in the Trikuta Mountains. You can also opt for pony rides or a helicopter service (optional) to reach the temple.

After completing your darshan, return to Katra in the evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 04 Katra to Srinagar (270 km / 10 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your scenic drive to Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir. The drive will take you through picturesque landscapes and valleys.

Upon arrival in Srinagar, check in to your deluxe houseboat or hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening with a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, admiring the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 05 Excursion to Gulmarg (58 km / 2 hrs)

After breakfast, take a day trip to the famous hill station of Gulmarg, also known as the 'Meadow of Flowers'. Enjoy the scenic drive, and once in Gulmarg, experience the breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains.

You can take the Gulmarg Gondola ride to the top of Apharwat Peak and enjoy the panoramic views of the Himalayas. In the evening, return to Srinagar.

Day 06 Srinagar City Tour

After breakfast, explore the beauty of Srinagar with a full-day city tour. Visit the stunning Mughal Gardens, including Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi, which offer spectacular views of Dal Lake and the Zabarwan Mountains.

Continue your tour with a visit to the sacred Shankaracharya Temple and the Jamia Masjid. In the evening, enjoy some leisure time shopping for Kashmiri handicrafts, pashmina shawls, or saffron in the local markets.

Day 07 Srinagar to Patnitop via Pahalgam (195 km / 6-7 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to the scenic town of Pahalgam, known for its pristine beauty. Visit the Lidder River, and if time permits, you can enjoy a pony ride to the scenic Baisaran Valley (at an additional cost).

After exploring Pahalgam, continue your journey to Patnitop, a tranquil hill station nestled in the Shivalik range. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax for the evening.

Day 08 Patnitop to Amritsar (290 km / 7 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Amritsar. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and visit the iconic Golden Temple, one of the holiest Sikh shrines.

In the evening, witness the Wagah Border Ceremony, a daily military practice at the India-Pakistan border that is a patriotic spectacle not to be missed.

Day 09 Amritsar to Delhi (475 km / 9 hrs)
