Itinerary Details

Day 01 Arrival in Leh

Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Leh is located at a high altitude (11,562 feet), so it is recommended to rest on the first day to allow your body to acclimatize to the reduced oxygen levels.

In the evening, if you feel comfortable, you can explore the nearby Leh Market and visit the Shanti Stupa for a panoramic view of the city and a serene sunset. Leh Market is the perfect place to shop for local handicrafts, souvenirs, and traditional Ladakhi goods.

Day 02 Leh Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of local sightseeing in and around Leh. Begin with a visit to the Shey Palace, the former royal residence of the kings of Ladakh. Next, visit the Thiksey Monastery, a stunning complex with intricate Buddhist architecture and an impressive statue of Maitreya Buddha.

Continue to the Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. Hemis is famous for its annual festival celebrating the birthday of Guru Padmasambhava. Afterward, visit the historic Leh Palace, offering panoramic views of the Leh cityscape and surrounding mountains.

Day 03 Leh – Khardung La Pass – Nubra Valley (125 km / 4-5 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your drive to the picturesque Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass, the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 feet. The journey offers incredible views of snow-capped peaks, rugged valleys, and glacial streams.

Upon reaching Nubra Valley, visit the ancient Diskit Monastery, famous for its massive statue of Maitreya Buddha. Spend the afternoon exploring the valley, and don’t miss the chance to ride a double-humped Bactrian camel across the sand dunes of Hunder.

Day 04 Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake – Leh (200 km / 6 hrs)

After an early breakfast, set out on an exciting journey to the breathtaking Pangong Lake. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes and charming villages as you traverse the rugged terrain of Ladakh.

Upon arrival, marvel at the beauty of Pangong Lake, located at an altitude of 14,270 feet. The lake’s ever-changing shades of blue and green, set against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains, make it one of the most photographed places in Ladakh. After spending time at the lake, continue your journey back to Leh, passing through the Shyok Valley.

Day 05 Leh Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, continue exploring Leh with a visit to Magnetic Hill, a mysterious stretch of road where vehicles appear to defy gravity and move uphill on their own. Next, visit the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine built to honor Guru Nanak’s visit to the region.

Stop by the famous Indus-Zanskar River Confluence, where the two rivers meet, creating a spectacular view of contrasting blue and green waters. On your way back to Leh, visit the Spituk Monastery, offering panoramic views of the Indus River.

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Leh.
Day 06 Departure from Leh

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport for your onward journey. Bid farewell to the magnificent landscapes of Ladakh, taking with you memories of a lifetime.
