Itinerary Details

Day 01 Arrival in Leh

Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Located at an altitude of 11,562 feet, Leh is known for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude to avoid altitude sickness.

In the evening, you may take a leisurely walk through Leh Market to explore the local culture, or visit the peaceful Shanti Stupa to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the valley.

Day 02 Excursion to Sham Valley

After breakfast, set out for an exciting excursion to Sham Valley, known for its picturesque landscapes and cultural landmarks. Begin with a visit to the famous Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to defy gravity and roll uphill. Continue to the sacred Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a Sikh shrine with historical significance.

Next, visit the stunning Indus-Zanskar River Confluence at Nimmu, where the two rivers meet in a striking contrast of colors. You will also visit the Alchi Monastery, one of the oldest and most significant monasteries in Ladakh, known for its unique architectural style.

Return to Leh in the evening for an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 03 Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass (160.3 km / 4 hrs 43 min)

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), the highest motorable road in the world. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains and valleys as you travel through this iconic route.

Upon arrival in Nubra Valley, visit the Diskit Monastery, the largest and oldest monastery in the valley, known for its towering statue of Maitreya Buddha. Later, explore the sand dunes of Hunder and enjoy a camel safari on the unique double-humped Bactrian camels, native to this region.

Day 04 Nubra Valley to Pangong via Shayok River (140 km / 6 hrs)

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the breathtaking Pangong Lake via the Shayok River route. The journey offers stunning views of rugged mountain landscapes and serene river valleys.

Upon arrival at Pangong Lake, be captivated by the lake’s crystal-clear waters that change color throughout the day, from deep blue to green. Pangong Lake, located at an altitude of 14,270 feet, stretches across the India-China border and is a photographer’s paradise.

Day 05 Departure from Leh
