Itinerary Details

Day 01 Arrival in Bhagalpur

Arrive at Bhagalpur, known as the silk city of Bihar. After checking in to your hotel, explore some local sights, including the Vikramshila University Ruins, one of the ancient centers of learning. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful stroll along the banks of the Ganga River and visit the famous Mandar Hill for a beautiful sunset.

Day 02 Bhagalpur – Parasnath Hill (Approx 226 Kilometers / 5-6 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Parasnath Hill, one of the most revered Jain pilgrimage sites (approx. 5-6 hours). This hill is believed to be the site where 20 of the 24 Jain Tirthankaras attained Nirvana. After arriving, check in to your hotel and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the hills. You can hike up the Shikharji, a sacred peak where Jain monks meditate and practice penance.

Day 03 Parasnath Hill

Day 04 Parasnath – Rajgir (Approx 190 Kilometers / 4-5 hrs) – Pawapuri (About 20 Kilometers)

After breakfast, drive to Rajgir (approx. 4-5 hours), a historical town associated with both Buddhism and Jainism. Visit the Griddhakuta Hill (Vulture’s Peak), where Buddha delivered important sermons, and the Vishwa Shanti Stupa. Afterward, drive to Pawapuri, the site where Lord Mahavira attained Nirvana. Visit the famous Jal Mandir, a marble temple located in the middle of a pond.
