Itinerary Details

Day 01 Guwahati Arrival – Cherrapunji

Arrive in Guwahati and transfer to Cherrapunji (approx. 150 km / 5 hours), known for its breathtaking landscapes and abundant rainfall. On the way, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake for a quick photo break. Upon arrival in Cherrapunji, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring nearby attractions like Nohkalikai Falls and Mawsmai Cave.

Day 02 Double Decker Root Bridge Trek and Shnongpdeng Camping

Start the day with a trek to Nongriat village to see the iconic Double Decker Root Bridge. The trek involves a descent through lush forests and numerous steps, but the sight of the living root bridge is worth the effort. Spend some time at the site, exploring the natural pools and enjoying the pristine surroundings. Later, drive to Shnongpdeng for an overnight camping experience. Set up your camp by the river and enjoy the evening with a bonfire and stargazing.

Day 03 Mawlynnong – Dawki Trip with Adventure Activities

After breakfast, visit Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia, where you can explore the well-kept village and see the Living Root Bridge. Proceed to Dawki for adventure activities such as boating on the crystal-clear Umngot River, kayaking, and snorkeling. Enjoy the serene surroundings and indulge in various adventure sports before returning to your campsite for the night.

Day 04 Departure

After breakfast, pack up your camp and drive back to Guwahati (approx. 180 km / 6 hours). If time permits, you can visit the Kamakhya Temple or explore the local markets for some last-minute shopping before your onward journey, concluding your 4-day adventure tour in Meghalaya.
