Itinerary Details

Day 01 Arrival in Aizawl

Upon arrival at Lengpui Airport in Aizawl, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, is nestled amidst the beautiful hills of the region and offers a serene atmosphere.

After checking in, spend the rest of the day at leisure. You can explore the local markets such as Bara Bazaar, where you can shop for traditional Mizo handicrafts, textiles, and enjoy local cuisine.

Day 02 Aizawl Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Aizawl. Visit the Solomon's Temple, a significant religious site with unique architecture. Proceed to the State Museum, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Mizo tribes through artifacts, textiles, and historical exhibits.

Later, visit the picturesque Durtlang Hills for panoramic views of the city. In the afternoon, explore the Reiek Heritage Village, which offers insights into the traditional lifestyle and customs of the local people.

Day 03 Aizawl to Agartala (Flight)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Agartala, the capital city of Tripura. Upon arrival at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, our representative will assist you with the transfer to your hotel.

In the evening, visit the famous Ujjayanta Palace, a royal palace turned museum that showcases the art, culture, and history of Tripura. Stroll through the lush gardens and admire the magnificent architecture.

Day 04 Agartala Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the attractions of Agartala. Visit the Neermahal Palace, a stunning lake palace situated in the middle of Lake Rudrasagar. This former royal residence blends Hindu and Mughal architectural styles.

Proceed to the ancient Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, revered by Hindu devotees. In the evening, explore the local markets to experience the vibrant culture and purchase local handicrafts.

Day 05 Agartala – Unakoti Rock Carvings – Agartala

After an early breakfast, embark on a day trip to Unakoti, located about 178 km from Agartala. Unakoti is famous for its massive rock-cut sculptures and reliefs dating back to the 7th-9th centuries.

Explore the archaeological site and marvel at the gigantic carvings of Hindu deities, including a 30-foot-high statue of Lord Shiva known as "Unakotiswara Kal Bhairava." Return to Agartala in the evening.

Day 06 Agartala to Imphal (Flight)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Imphal, the capital of Manipur. Upon arrival at Imphal Airport, our representative will assist you with the transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon, visit the historic Kangla Fort, a significant cultural and political center of Manipur's history. Explore the Imphal War Cemetery, a memorial dedicated to soldiers who lost their lives during World War II.

Day 07 Imphal – Moirang – Imphal

After breakfast, take an excursion to Moirang, located about 45 km from Imphal. Visit the sacred Loktak Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Northeast India, famous for its floating phumdis (massive heterogeneous mass of vegetation).

Explore the Keibul Lamjao National Park, the only floating national park in the world and home to the endangered Sangai deer. Visit the INA Museum in Moirang, which displays artifacts related to the Indian National Army's activities during World War II.

Day 08 Imphal – Kisama – Kohima (140 km / 4 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. En route, visit the Kisama Heritage Village, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Naga tribes and is the venue for the annual Hornbill Festival.

Upon arrival in Kohima, check in to your hotel. In the evening, visit the Kohima War Cemetery, a memorial dedicated to the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Kohima during World War II.

Day 09 Kohima to Jorhat (200 km / 6 hours)

After breakfast, depart from Kohima and drive to Jorhat in Assam. En route, enjoy the scenic landscapes of Nagaland and Assam, passing through tea gardens and rural villages.

Upon arrival in Jorhat, check in to your hotel. In the evening, you can visit the local markets or explore the nearby tea estates to learn about Assam's renowned tea industry.

Day 10 Jorhat – Majuli Island – Jorhat

After breakfast, embark on a ferry ride to Majuli Island, the world's largest river island situated on the Brahmaputra River. Majuli is a hub of Assamese neo-Vaishnavite culture and is known for its monasteries called "Satras."

Visit prominent Satras like Kamalabari Satra and Auniati Satra to learn about the island's religious and cultural significance. Interact with the local Mishing tribe and witness their traditional lifestyle and handicrafts.

Return to Jorhat in the evening for an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 11 Departure from Jorhat
