Mizoram has just entered a new era of rail travel. On September 13, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the state’s first-ever Rajdhani Express, finally giving Mizoram a direct rail link to Delhi. The inaugural train, numbered 02057 Sairang–Anand Vihar Special, left Sairang at 10:00 am on September 13 and is set to reach Delhi on September 15 at 7:30 am. Along the way, it halts at important stations including Guwahati, New Jalpaiguri, Patna Junction, and Kanpur Central—making it a lifeline for travelers across the Northeast. Regular Schedule from September 19
From September 19, 2025, the train will run weekly as Train No. 20507/20508:
- Train 20507 (Sairang–Anand Vihar Terminal):
Departs Sairang every Friday at 16:30 hrs, arrives in Delhi Sunday at 10:50 hrs. - Train 20508 (Anand Vihar Terminal–Sairang):
